The name Papiesfontein has become synonymous with exciting beach horse rides on a pristine beach just outside Jeffreys Bay in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Frankie & Esré Lötter have been farming this area since 1980 and run Papiesfontein Beach Horse Rides in addition to their cattle farm. They began the horse trails in 1996. Today they have plenty well-schooled and good natured horses to choose from. We breed our own horses and we use a crossbred between the Boerperd and the Scottish Highland Pony. We have the only Scottish Highland Ponies in the country.

These beach horse rides have become such a popular item that they are now regarded as a "must-do" when visiting Jeffrey's Bay.
